i was a student who came late for my first class; the second session of the semester.however i've tried to catch up as much as i can, and this is my first creation using rhino.i 've practised this for several times untill i can be more familiar with the command.">

SHAKIRA'S FIRST ASSIGNMENT

SHAKIRA'S MENDELSSON BUILDING

Next was my second task - an option to build any of modern movement given, and we (syed izrul and me , at first)agreed to work by pair , to do a mendelsson building. However, he appears to undetected, and i have to do by my own, all along the process, i've been receiving help from wonderful person such as ching, khairul and euchine.

Thess are series of perspective , front view and top view of the building, i've edited the colour in Max and and using the exiting the environment window, where we can choose any 3 colours of our likings to actually render the background. the background will look like blended colour of all 3 colours and all of us has gone to photoshop to edit the scenery to look abit blurry , (or more imaginary) , the effect resulted the smokey environment in certain area of the scene. The tactic is to make the perspective looks more real then it was - hard and sharp.

SHAKIRA AND CHING'S PALLADIAN TEMPLE

My third project was with my friend, Ching. tis is a big project, so we've worked hard and enjoyed ourselves during the process. randomly , this is what out basic component that we've agreed to do .Basically, we've agreed to devide work ; i'm doing the roof part, and the interrior, while ching'll do the exterrior

This is my first attempt to make our roof facade . It is not even and alot have been altered ever since.how ever this is how i achieved to make my roof make like what we have today . i made half of it using these commands:

line ( and i made the whole section of the facade)

extrude (long enough to trim it

rotate ( rotate it to 30 degree before trim it to be like half of the roof)

mirror (so that i'd be a complete facade for roof!)

how ever, thers aother method i've used to try to make the roof facade , like sweep command etc..

it is abit hard from t his one , and if we're not precise and careful, it'll guide us to another shape...(which is not a roof at all)

This is one of the hardest task for me . this neatly joint half dome situated in the interrior area of our temple.i've use methods like : circle , edit, trim, revolve, sweep (1&2 tried), rotate, move and so on.. anyhow, after seeing the result, i guess its worth all my time during the process if doing it!

This is my window during the process of doing our temple's ceiling.the beam is followed the English palladian house (based on several picture prove we got from books and internet) the beam cris-crossing each other and then the skirting surrounding each other. command array, mirror, rotate is giving me so much help.

in the middle of the ceiling , lay sets of decorations in the ceilings where temples are usually expected with all this decorations which we belived some of them were from arts and craft movement.however , we decide for this exercies, we'll only do some of them which represent the crafts so that it'll bring more pleasure in casting shadows in our building later on.

Pay attention also , to the curved skirting, maybe for some people it wont such a long time , but for me , it is kinda ..foreign as several of my early attempt fails and at last i did made it , using sweep command (after couple of times trying , with the same command, it did come up with the shape i desire, at last..)

in lighting , we've done the scheme together, the first exterior was done along with Inger's company then later, i've made some research and do some background studies for collecting free 3d models, i've found several prominent websites in acting as the engine of the searching . some of them might not be related to Palladian temple, but, nonetheless , the websites offers relevant models that can be use for architectural 3d

Those were some of the detail that we've planned to put on site , earlier, elements like greek vases , fancy warrior swords for decorations on the walls, and some fancy warrior statue as well, those balls full with thorns too, for wall decoration as well and lots of other elements , but since we kinda have limited time , and due to the heavyness of our file, we decide to put them aside and pay attention to the main building first. but then , we still want to point out here that we've made some research of it ( plus those beautiful warriors are not greek to start with..)

this is our first rendering with inger's help. It somehow have inspired us to go further , and try new effects. it was rather plain at first , but we love several of the results later :)
If earlier, the dynaminc spots is inside the building , and the bright light has giving us the advantage to see whats inside, this one , we tried to create the curious feeling for the viewers. Dim light has provoked mysterious and mystical feelings towards the whole facade and it bring rather an exciting feeling ( while we do it)

The warmer inner lights , has totally showing the 'line has been drawn between the inner area and the extirior area of the temple. The curious feeling of ours increasing , and the bright lights ,playing on the sets of big string columns in front were as if cast by spotlight , or maybe it can interparet my some mother nature source (say lighting for example, eventho its too bright and a bit unreal for a strike of lightning to do that , but it looks cool, in our opinion)

this is our final rendering for this exterior .Inger might have some comments on it as we didnt see her much lately , while doing this . but we hope it has improved from the one we did along this semester. we've balanced the inner light so that it wont bias or payed attention only on certain parts of the scene. so , it shows us the warm environment from the inner lightings , and moody, mysterious night from the outside of the building. The contrast colours between rays of purple tones to yellowish for the inside has somehow paid the scenery a good contrast combination.

This is our first rendering for our interrior. so far, we've agreed that palladian temple used medium such as clays or medium that derives from cement, so the texture and colours are abit greyish and dull. we've emphasized that somehow lighting would play a good medium to provoke ones feelings by our interrior. the woman warrior miniature which located inside of the building has cast a dramatical reflections towards the floor and the yellow tones of the light were chose due to the logic that most probably our light comes from fire source which will produce light reflection and shadow as such.

this is our second renderings. i like this perspective as it shows mostly of my work on the ceiling..:)anyway , the yellow light has been put too much to our likings on the right sight. this perspective is actually, a bit tricky as it contains the upper sections of the half dome located in the temple.

this two

image shown us how we've reduced the amount to unwanted lightings in certain area of the perspctive.

finally , the perspective has become like this , which we agreed to maybe just leave it like that and comments from Inger are needed here as we could do a better work for this one.
