Meeting notes for 06.03.03

• finalise temporary list of cluster names (pia)
• finalise navigation list names (pia)
• Think Map - we should look at this in more depth - contact them and see what they spout. (yamin)
• i think we've come to an interesting juncture. the site looks like what i'm trying to have happen and the wiki does it.
• we need to focus on a merger.
• i'm thinking that the front page - home - should be combined with now/events and made as a blog.

ok. this is the navigation bar list:

livewire//webcam events
clusters//current projects
live load//project archive
linkages//hyperlink archive
inflection//on-line journal
courses//education
now/home (we will merge home and events)

Other things: - make top bit link back to now/home - remove now and livewire boxes on front page - take text out of front page and replace with: "This site is Alive. It's contents are not controlled.

- can we: have an address bar somewhere that gives you the address of the internal frame? (and allow you to alter it by typing in addresses (???)
- words at the bottom of the nav bar frame: "refresh me if i run away" - ?
- if the wiki is in the middle frame, can links to external pages comeup in a new window, while links to internal pages remain in the frame - ?? --

thoughts on the site:

I'm wondering if we might be able to set up what i'm calling a live = presence field - where (v low res versions) of the photos of participants = and their IP address show up - say in the side bar under the liveness = flash action - when they are interacting with the site/wiki. An example of = this is at -

If other people are participating but are not registered participants then = maybe we can have generic names with their IP addresses come up....this is = possible i think???

Then within all this I would really like to work on making the Wiki the = support for most of the contents of the site.

any comments/ideas?

• looked at live presence field idea: when edit is done - image (from those registered) and IP address comes up (in "field") and gradually becomes transparent
