what are the implications of adopting this new thinking of bottom-up organization? condition of emergence? what is the implication of removing ourselves from the familiar? how would we react? how would we proceed? does this then inturn, affect how we view architecture, its design, processes, outcomes, its spatiality? how can this be related?

I think that the change in thought leads architectural design and its processes to be affected by how we expect a certain outcome. it challenges the way we associate architecture with the real and the virtual to be impossible in architecture.

By allowing the bottom-up to affect this ordering of space, what do we end up with? Upon entering a built environment, it is not the surrounding which dictates or affects, rather, the person and their interactions with others and the environment itself forms the makeup. movement?

"self-organization, bottom-up organization, it is "without predefined order" ants and humans alike, possess an ability for "pattern discernment"

to imagine a condition without pacemakers, an organization which emerges from its own internal interactions ( proprioceptive?)...points?....position emerges from movement and not the other way around...an unconcious series of interactions or movement/s or both from which emerges a position.....

Francisco Varela

"the virtual self is eveident because it provides a surface for interaction, but its not evident if you try to locate it. It's compeltely delocalized"

The various identities of self manifest through their interactions with each other : : : very much like the emergence talked about in the ants colonies where interactions on small scale bring about a change on the larger scale.

"biological cognition in general was not to be understood as a representation of the world out there but rather as an ongoing bringing forth of a world, through the very process of living itself." Can this be somehow equated with the now process of the D+S work?

emergence is the unfamiliar, the interactions rests in the in between as the medium for it to occur? the diagram to arch , the translation is the emergence
